Chicken Chop

This dish lived up to expectations I have to say. Great taste & very reasonable price. Too bad the amount is proportionate to the price. I wouldn't mind them increasing the price if they increase the portions. Hehe.

Baked Ginza Salmon

Lunch at Fish & Co.   RM 25.90

Interesting dish. Served with butter rice or chips. My wife choose rice obviously. She liked it quite a lot. The sauce has a distinct taste & was very complimentary on the salmon. Don't really know how to explain the taste. Hehe.

Fried Calamari

New York Fish & Chips

Lunch at Fish & Co.   RM 16.90

The first bite kind of surprised me. Yes I was warned that this dish is oily but really I wasn't expecting it to be THAT oily. OK, fine, almost choked there for a while so chomped on some fries & was surprised that the fries were different from their other fish & chips dish. Had more seasoning & quite crunchy. After that went back to the fish & the more I ate the more it grew on me. Turns out it was not bad at all.

I guess the oil & cheese combination might be a turn-off for some people, I almost choked on it at the start. Hehe! But it's good stuff once you let it soak in.

Tenom Fried Rice

Lunch at Tenom Cafe   RM 5.50

Actually this is my wife's meal. She said it was nice but I only tried it after I finished my fish in butter sauce. Maybe that skewed my taste buds as I thought her fried rice was tasteless!! LOL! Anyway, considering the stuff they give & my wife saying it's nice, so I decided to give it 3 stars. Hehehe!

Fish Fillet in Butter Sauce with Spaghetti

Lunch at Tenom Cafe   RM 7.20

This is a Today's Lunch Special for Fridays & it also has a small portion of coleslaw. The fish in butter sauce tastes great but the portion of fish & spaghetti leaves much to be desired considering the price. Still, the dish tastes great if you don't mind the price.

Chicken Rice

Lunch at Perfect's Chicken Rice   RM 4.50

The amount was good & it tasted better than the Singapore Chicken Rice in Karamunsing. Wouldn't say it's 'Perfect' yet but it's almost there. I would prefer this to Chicken Rice Shop as it's way cheaper. LOL!

Lemon Chicken Rice

Lunch at Food Paradise   RM 5.00

Pretty average for the price. Whole thing was not served warm enough. Only good comment is the lemon sauce which was quite nice. I'll try something else next time.

Steam Bean Buns

Lunch at Shikai Restaurant   RM 4.00

Now this is one of the MOST amazing tasting steam buns I've tasted. It can't be described. Too bad you only get 3 buns for that price which is not enough. LOL. You'll crave for more the moment you've put the bun in your mouth & it has melted so nicely inside. Be warned the skin is quite thin so if you don't mind eating with the skin you should, else you'll make a mess of the bun. Hehe!
