Second part of the special set. Would have been a pretty standard salad but the sauce was interesting. It was a bit strong for some people but I surely loved it. Very vinegar taste to some but it was fine to me.

Ika Furai with Futomaki

Lunch at Umai Fine Japanese Cuisine   RM 25.00

This is part of a special set costing RM25. The set started with this as appetizer. The Ika Furai is Deep Fried Squid Bread Crumb. A great appetizer I have to say, surely kick started my taste buds. The Futomaki is rice roll sushi with crab stick & some vege. Pretty standard but still good tasting.

Lamb Stew in Red Wine

Dinner at Flame Forest   RM 16.00

Wow! Nick wasn't joking when he said this dish is GOOD! But I don't think this dish is for everyone. Kind of depends how much you like your lamb soaked in red wine. It takes a while for the taste soak in. But if that's your thing then this dish is amazing! Worth the money for sure. No complains bout the spaghetti since the red wine became the sauce & it's a great match. Highly recommended!!

** Update: Oh ya, they serve fresh salad as appetizer for their meals. So what's so great bout this salad? It's homemade sauce!!! Great stuff! Thanks to Nick for reminding me on this. :D

Fish & Chips Flame of Forrest

Dinner at Flame Forest   RM 14.00

Ok, first of all, I'm quite sure this dish is called Fish & Chips. Problem is, there are NO chips. LOL! Instead they serve potato. And it's darn good! The fish is amazing too, one of the most nice crisp tasting fried fish I've ever eaten. Unfortunately, the spaghetti sauce is a letdown. It's the normal variety you get from some supermarket & it kind of screws the taste a bit. Ah well, pretty close to perfect. Highly recommended!

** Update: Oh ya, they serve fresh salad as appetizer for their meals. So what's so great bout this salad? It's homemade sauce!!! Great stuff! Thanks to Nick for reminding me on this. :D

Chicken Cordon Bleu

This is a daily special for Tuesday. The chicken sure tasted nice. Not the best as the rest of the dish is pretty standard. But for the price I was satisfied with the chicken. Yes, just the chicken. Hehe.

Mocha Praline Frappuccino

A great tasting mocha ice blended. Since I love mocha so this is just right up my alley. Unfortunately the price is kind of steep. Once a while I guess it's fine. Hehe.

Espresso Chip Ice Blended

Supper at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf   RM 12.50

Don't try this if you do not like espresso. Hehe. Then again it wasn't that strong & I didn't have trouble sleeping later. LOL! Pretty standard taste though to me. I think I'll go back to mocha next time.

Pomegranate Fru-Tea Ice Blended

Supper at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf   RM 12.50

Hmmm, I didn't even know what were pomegranates before this. Turns out pomegranate juice is a good source of antioxidants. Interesting! Anyway, the drink was ok, kind of sweet tasting. A good alternative for those seeking non coffee based ice blended in Coffee Bean.

Nasi Goreng Pattaya

Hmmm, used to be bigger in portion & the egg is more nicely wrapped around the fried rice. I guess I'm being nitpicky. Hehe. Anyway, it still tastes great & for it's price it gets a good thumbs up. Too bad I finished it way too fast & left wanting more, which to be honest isn't a bad thing for the stall.

Nasi Goreng Kampung

My favorite fried rice at the moment. Great taste, good amounts of ikan bilis & just spicy enough. For this price this can't be beat. Hehe.
