Dumplings

Supper at Damai "Foodcourt"   RM 5.00

Rm 5.00 for ten dumplings. Either fried or steamed. Tastes great to me, and if the ambiance of the place is slightly lacking, thats not why my friends and I go there anyway.

Pretty good juice, not watered down, but slow service.

While I agree that the taste is quite nice, I think that its over priced. So I give it a 2.

Steamboat

Dinner at Kampung Nelayan   RM 17.00

Call it twenty bucks per head. I tend to take guests to Nelayan for steamboat for several reasons.

1) Theres entertainment
2) Its a nice breezy, clean place.
3) They cook the food, they can't complain about the food!

While you can always add on other ingredients, from past experience, the standard sets are more than enough. We generally don't get to finish everything... The place is nice, the portions are generous enough, the selection is quite varied... and the taste is well, pretty much up to your own skills.

Overall, I'd give it a 5.

Garlic Bread

I like Yester Years. Its a nice quiet place to have a drink with a bunch of friends, kick back and relax...

Their pizzas are pretty nice, and my friends say their salads aren't bad....

But I'm here to talk about their garlic bread. Its not bad... but its not good. You can get better garlic bread at Multibake for half the price and twice the quantity.

We had FOUR slices for RM 3, and there was barely any garlic taste. Value for money it ain't!

Avocado Juice

Don't recall the price because a friend picked up the tab.

The avocado juice was pretty good. Nice and thick, not watered down like in some places.

Hawaiian Supreme

Lunch at Pizza Hut   RM 31.00

Rm 25.00 for two regular pizzas. + Rm 3 each to upgrade to supremes.

First of all, I'm biased in favor of pizzas. Its pretty hard for me to find a pizza I DON'T like. That being said, PH's pizzas tend to be pretty good. I've always liked their Hawaiians and Pepperonis, and yesterdays pizza didn't disappoint.
