threedge ate Galette Coco Choco

One of the main highlights is visiting The Loaf Langkawi (pastry/bakery shop) owned by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammed. Here they featured all the healthy premium (with a price) breads and pastries by award winning Japanese Master Baker, Chef Yukichi Matsubara. The “Galette Coco Choco” is one the very unique pastry that shapes like a pizza. It is completely covered with coconut strips, sugar and raisin (I suppose). It's taste is not over shadowed by the coconuts and neither it is sweet. The bread blends very well with the toppings.

threedge ate Pain Cream

“Pain Cream” funny name to called it. Asked the sales rep. He explained that it is translate direct from Japanese words (it's a good bun after all). The bun is very soft and the white custard inside is good enough that does not include any pain. The shop is located in the heart of a waterfront for the luxury yachts (Telaga Harbour Marina). A beautiful area to just relax and dine prestigiously.

threedge ate Eqyptiene

This taste and look very similar to “Fok Chew Biscuit”. The difference is some spices were added to it to give it a new twist. The sesame taste is good and it would go well with some thick creamy soup. According to the sales rep, they actually supply these bread and pastries to the surrounding 5 star hotels.
