Mama Chen ate Beef Tripe

I have a soft-spot for beef tripe. I am told it is good for women especially of the advancing age. But I also have a criteria - it must not be overdone nor underdone. The sauce must be light and yet tasty. I hate the use of MSG. I like to be able to eat it on its own as well as with rice or noodle.

This dish passed all my tests. Yum!

We were treated to dinner and our friend who asked us to do the ordering had specific dishes in mind. This was one "must-have" he said. And we had to book early and ask for extra portions.

Well, it did not disappoint. It was tasty and just nicely done. That second quality is vital for char siew as I dislike char siew that is too dry!

Would I go back again for it? Very likely! And that says a lot, coming from someone who doesn't normally look for this dish!

Something pretty interesting, a hint of bacon flavor added to fresh spinach and the salted egg adds a fusion touch to the the dish. Fresh and appetizing. Worth a try
