Vietnamese Coffee

Tea at CUBE Citymall  price RM 6.00
  • Currently 3.5/5 Stars.
3.5 stars

A really classy cup of coffee which reminds me of a typical london tea break. The coffee is smooth but not as 'kick' so it might not appeal to really serious coffee drinkers might want. Love the fact that it's served with some homemade chocolate chip cookies. Special thanks to Mei Wong for her wonderful hospitality and great food.

Prawn Sticks

Tea at CUBE Citymall  price RM 14.00
  • Currently 3.5/5 Stars.
3.5 stars

I really like the style the prawn sticks were served, wrapped around a lemongrass center, it gives a special distinctive taste so what could have been an ordinary deep fried prawn snack. Best consumed hot out of the oven :) THe price is pretty high for 2 pieces though. Special thanks to Mei Wong for her wonderful hospitality and great food.

Steamed Chicken

Lunch at CUBE Citymall  price RM 25.00
  • Currently 3.0/5 Stars.

The steamed chicken tasted pretty ordinary to me. It should be a great dish for lunch but I would have wished if the chicken was more tender or if it could easier to eat (boneless like Hainanese chicken rice would be great). Special thanks to Mei Wong for her wonderful hospitality and great food.

Sweetie Sesame Ball

Lunch at CUBE Citymall  price RM 6.00
  • Currently 5.0/5 Stars.

I never liked sesame balls because of the fillings they use. This one would be an exception because of a special custard made from salted egg and milk. Biting into the sesame ball reveals a rich golden colored melted custard complementing the beautifully baked exterior. The chef took his time on this one as we waiting more than 20 minutes for it. I'll never forget the smooth texture which makes this a hot version of really good ice cream. It comes with a small shot of green tea to help reset your tastebuds. Definitely a must try. Special thanks to Mei Wong for her wonderful hospitality and great food.

Prosperity

Lunch at CUBE Citymall

This all vegetarian dish should be perfect complement the strong flavors of the other dishes this restaurant serves. Simple and clean tastes with a good mix of very different kind of vegetables namely quality broccoli, pumpkin and wintermelon topped with a garnish of celery. The secret lies in the celery sauce that adds a very soothing distinct flavor to the dish. Special thanks to Mei Wong for her wonderful hospitality and great food.

Butter Fish Fillet

Fresh breadcrumbed fish fillet, doused in butter sauce with a tinge of curry flavor. This is the prime example of making western style food suite Malaysian tastebuds. The sauce is wonderful and a perfect fit for the fish.

Salty Egg Cheese Rolls

Lunch at CUBE Citymall  price RM 10.00
  • Currently 4.0/5 Stars.
4.0 stars

A really special appetizer that gives you a delicious mix of savory cheese and salted egg wrapped around a core of chicken and prawn and then baked to perfection. The taste of the salted egg is a little strong that it overwhelms the cheese though and the pastry like wrapping contradicts a little with the core. I also wish there were more than 2 pieces. Its something out of the ordinary and worth a try. Special thanks to Mei Wong for her wonderful hospitality and great food.

Yaki Niku Set

Dinner at Fukurou Japanese Restaurant  price RM 22.90
  • Currently 4.0/5 Stars.
4.0 stars

The miso soup wasn’t thick enough and it was too hot when it was served. The rice paired with the yaki niku looked pretty lonely and although the portion was just enough, it felt a little dry eating it like that. How I wished i had a salad somewhere or a chawanmushi to go with it. The beef was pretty ok but I think wagamama had more tender beef and the set is cheaper as well
