I used to have a benchmark place for prawn mee. This place now serves the new standard to compare with! Fresh ingredients, with an excellent soup that is not too thick nor too thin. I drank up every single drop!

Favourite prawn mee in KK. The soup is really strong and adding belacan makes it simply awesome.

This prawn mee is pretty good. They increased the price to RM5 (which is really expensive) but to compensate they put in more prawns and stuff. The bosses speak hokkien so I believe they come from North of West Malaysia (eg Penang)

Their prawn mee could easily make it to anybody's favourites list. Located in the heart of Kepong, this restaurant is no stranger to this part of town. Hoo Yee Kee ("Easy To Remember" in cantonese) specialized in dishing out their signature Prawn Mee and Lum Mee. The soup is the real killer. They stew lots of shrimps for more than half a day to get the thick soup base. It's not overly spicy and a has little sweetness to it. If it's not hot enough, then their chili paste will enchance the taste. You could add from small, medium, large size prawn or other seafood items all at the expense of your wallet. Last but not least, after savouring it; your cholesterol level will go up almost immediately as well. Now that's easy to remember.
